KP Pottery (Cornwall) Stoneware Table Lamp
Description
This mid-century reticulated lamp by KP Pottery was made in Cornwall during the 1960s. Hand-thrown in stoneware, the base features a pierced lattice design that casts gentle shadows when lit, giving the piece both sculptural presence and softness. The natural speckled glaze and organic form are characteristic of Cornish studio pottery from this period, when KP Pottery was producing distinctive, modern designs that remain sought after today.
The lamp has been carefully restored and rewired with a brass lamp holder and a vintage-style black braided flex. It has been fully tested and is in working order, though as with all pre-loved electrical items, buyers are advised to have it checked by a qualified professional for their own peace of mind. A neutral linen shade completes the piece, complementing the earthy tones and allowing the ceramic base to take centre stage. The original KP Pottery stamp is faintly visible on the underside, a subtle marker of its Cornish heritage and mid-century provenance.
A rare and atmospheric lamp, blending craftsmanship, design, and the enduring appeal of Cornish studio pottery from the 1960s.
