1970s G-Plan Glass Top Coffee Table
Description
This original 1970s G-Plan coffee table is crafted from solid afromosia, a prized hardwood used by G-Plan during their later modern period. The softly sculpted square frame, rounded internal curves, and inset glass top give the piece a balanced, architectural presence that works equally well in mid-century and contemporary interiors.
The table has been professionally refurbished to bring out the natural grain of the afromosia while respecting the original form and proportions. It retains the original red and gold G-Plan foil label, dating it to the mid 1970s. Featuring the original glass, it does have some light scratches to the surface as you would expect with a piece of this age.
A strong, understated example of G-Plan’s 1970s design language — solid, well-made, and increasingly hard to find in this condition and originality.
