1960s Hall’s Galvo Teak Wall Mirror

An elegant mid-century rectangular wall mirror in teak retaining its original “Hall’s Galvo” label.

Dating from the 1960s, the slim solid teak frame features beautifully softened corners and understated proportions that feel every bit as contemporary today as they did when first produced. The original mirror plate is secured with period ‘diamond’ style fixings and displays the subtle character expected of a genuine vintage piece.

A surviving Hall’s Galvo label remains attached to the back, identifying the mirror as one of the company’s premium damp-proof models produced using their copper-backed silvering process.

The mirror has been gently cleaned and is presented in very good vintage condition. There is minor age-related wear to the frame and a very small area of deterioration around one edge of the mirror, consistent with over sixty years of use, but nothing that detracts from its overall appearance.

A timeless and versatile piece, which can be hung vertically or horizontally. Equally suited to a hallway, bedroom, dressing room or living space.
