1960s G Plan Fresco Sideboard
Description
This beautifully restored G Plan Fresco sideboard is a striking example of mid-century British design at its best. Crafted by E. Gomme Ltd in the 1960s, it features a warm teak veneer with rich grain patterns and a solid afromosia frame, elevated on sculptural legs with the iconic stretcher base. The sideboard offers generous storage with three drawers above and four spacious cupboards below, all fitted with G Plan’s signature integrated handles.
As part of the restoration, the felt lining in the cutlery drawer has been replaced to ensure it’s fresh and ready for use while remaining sympathetic to the original design. A wonderful original touch also remains inside one drawer: an authentic G Plan care leaflet from the time of manufacture, offering a rare glimpse into the piece’s history and the brand’s legacy of quality craftsmanship. Fully restored and finished to a high standard, this sideboard is both a functional storage solution and a timeless statement piece for any modern interior.
