1970s G Plan Tile-Top Coffee Table
Description
This beautifully made G Plan coffee table dates from the 1970s and features a classic six-tile ceramic inset top, framed in solid afromosia — a timber celebrated for its rich colour and expressive grain.
The table has been carefully restored to its original finish, allowing the natural character of the afromosia to really come through. The sculpted legs and gently rounded edges are hallmarks of G Plan’s best period, combining practicality with understated elegance.
All six tiles are original and in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. As with any genuine vintage piece, there are one or two very tiny age-related marks to the wood, but these are very subtle and do not detract from the overall presentation.
This is a well-proportioned, quietly confident piece of British mid-century design is equally at home in a modern interior or a more traditional setting.
