1970s Scandinavian Lounge Chair

This vintage Scandinavian modern cantilever lounge chair was purchased in the 1970s from Whites the Furnishers in Penzance, Cornwall, and has remained in the same family ever since. Crafted with a black ebonized bentwood frame and upholstered in rich chocolate-brown leather, it embodies the relaxed sophistication of the era. The leather is in excellent condition with only a slight, graceful patina, while the frame shows gentle wear marks that add to its character. Despite being in daily use, this chair has been exceptionally well cared for—offering both comfort and history in equal measure. A beautifully preserved piece with authentic mid-century charm.
