This rare and early mid-century G Plan extending dining table showcases a timeless retro design, blending functionality with elegant craftsmanship. Part of the original Tola range, this piece features unusual and distinctive cross-frame stretcher bars beneath for added stability and brass-capped feet that enhance its refined aesthetic.
Designed for versatility, the table extends with an additional leaf neatly stored in a concealed shelf beneath the tabletop. When fully extended, it measures six feet, six inches long, and can seat up to eight people – perfect for both everyday dining and special occasions.
We don’t know exactly how old this table is but it was listed in the 1962 G Plan catalogue as ‘Model 4305’ . It also carries the authentic gold ‘EG G Plan’ stamp underneath, confirming its heritage.
It has undergone a light restoration to refresh its beauty while preserving the charming character and minor signs of age that make vintage furniture so special. Please refer to the photos for details.
